SUSTAINABLE URBAN DRAINAGE SYSTEMS

Fundraiser Day 2021

Stormwater Management Ltd and Geosynthetics Ltd raise an amazing £10,000 for local food banks.

Posted on 11/Nov/2021

For over a decade we have been selecting different charities that are close to the hearts of our team members and raising money for them through our Annual Fundraiser. Some of the previous charities we have supported include; Air Ambulance, Georgie’s Gift, Adapt, Lawrence House and Doorway.

October 29th saw the return of our Annual Hansam Charity Fundraiser for 2021. After unfortunately not being able to complete our Charity Fundraiser in 2020 due to coronavirus restrictions it was incredible to see the whole team back together raising money the only way we know how; with plenty of laughs, smiles and the inevitability of someone getting gunged!

This year the team selected Nuneaton & Hinkley Foodbanks as our chosen charity. Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food- makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping to prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health issues.

The theme this year was Cartoon Characters which saw a variety of different costumes enter the office; The Joker, Fred Flintstone, Fireman Sam, and Dennis the Menace to name just a few. The day of course was filled with a number of exciting games, quizzes and challenges. Concluded with the famous Hansam tombola and raffle filled with unbelievable prizes donated by local businesses.

£5000 was raised in total which our Chairman Chris Foxton kindly doubled meaning a staggering £10,000 was raised for Nuneaton and Hinckley Foodbanks. Huge thank you to everyone involved on the day, Geosynthetics Ltd and Stormwater Management Ltd team members, suppliers’ contributions, bungee queens and gunged newbies who made the day so memorable.

We would like to once again thank local businesses and our suppliers for the donations and support for our fundraiser. This help is invaluable in making this day such a success. Please find the list of businesses that donated to our fundraiser day below:
