Our Products:
D-Rainclean
Channel
D-Rainclean® is a modular bioretention system for the effective, decentralized treatment of polluted stormwater runoff
Key Features
Decentralized Treatment
Treats stormwater at its source, preventing it from reaching waterways in its polluted state.
SuDS Adoptable Solution
Extremely adaptable and can easily be incorporated into new build or be retrofitted into existing SUDS schemes where runoff quality is an ongoing issue.
Durability
The filter media has a long service life, with some sources indicating up to 40 years depending on pollutant levels.

Our Professional Solution For Treating Polluted Surface Runoff.
Stormwater Management Ltd - The official UK suppliers for the
D-Rainclean® System
The D-Rainclean® System – a combination of a filtration channel and a filter media – provides a professional solution for the treatment of polluted surface runoff. It absorbs the rainwater from streets, car parks, backyards and roof surfaces, which often contains a high concentration of pollutants, and percolates it into the soil as harmless, clean water.
D-Rainclean is a modular system that comprises a robust 500mm long porous polypropylene channel fitted with a cast iron inlet grating rated to Load Class D400. Each section is filled with a unique engineered bio-remediation media that cleans surface water as it passes through the filter layers, degrading and diffusing hydrocarbons and dissolved heavy metals like copper and zinc.
D-Rainclean is a recognised solution, it is accepted and specified in Wales due to legislation change relating to SUDS and DIBt approval.
D-Rainclean: A Versatile Solution
If your project requires an effective stormwater surface runoff solution that is able to treat heavily polluted areas, D-Rainclean is the product.

How Does The D-Rainclean System Work?
1. Absorption:
Polluted rainwater from surfaces like parking lots and roads is directed into the D-Rainclean® channel.
2. Filtration & Adsorption:
The water then passes through the unique filter media. This media removes pollutants through filtration, adsorption, ion exchange, precipitation, and biodegradation, effectively cleaning the water.
3. Infiltration:
The purified water is then released into the underlying soil, complying with regulations for soil and groundwater protection.
